Dr. Gagan Kohli - DDS, MS
Dr. Gagan Kohli completed his Masters from University of Alabama,Birmingham and has been practicing dentistry in California since 2002. He is Invisalign and Laser Dentistry certified. He believes in listening to all his patients and their needs and to treat them with the best possible care. He wants his patients to leave the office knowing that they have a friend in him.
When not practicing dentistry he enjoys arts, watching movies and traveling. He has traveled around Europe, East Asia and Mexico. He has a wonderful wife who is a Nephrologist practicing in Bay Area and a beautiful daughter and son.
Dr. Katie Fogarty - DMD
Dr. Katie received her undergraduate degree in psychobiology from UCLA. Then she went on to complete her dental training in University of Pennsylvania and General Practice Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. She believes in kindness: being sympathetic to her patients' fears and anxieties, hearing their needs, and providing them with the best care possible.
She grew up in Dallas, Texas, and has live in the Bay Area with her husband since 2012 to be closer to family. In her spare time, she goes all around town with her two-year-old son. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and snowboarding.
Dr. Chung
Dr. Joan Chung joined Castro Valley Family Dental in 2025. Born and raised in Georgia, Dr. Chung obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree at Georgia Tech in 2013. She then moved to the Bay Area and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2017 at the University of California San Francisco and has worked as a private dentist since then.
Dr. Chung utilizes a gentle, conservative and practical approach to treating her patients. She is a member of the California Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society, and Southern Alameda County Dental Society.
Outside of work, Dr. Chung enjoys travelling around the world with her husband, pampering her two dogs, and decorating her house.
Galina Dmukhovskiy
Galina Dmukhovskiy brings warmth, dedication, and a reassuring presence to our practice every day. With many years of clinical experience as a Registered Dental Assistant, she excels at working alongside our dentists to deliver seamless, high-quality care while ensuring every patient feels completely at ease in the chair. Known for her gentle touch, attention to detail, and welcoming smile, Galina takes pride in building genuine connections with our patients and helping nervous visitors feel like family. She always seeks to ensure each appointment is efficient, safe, and comfortable. Outside the office, Galina enjoys traveling, biking, and spending quality time with her family and grandkids.
Larissa - RDA Director of Operations
Larissa began her dental career in 2011 and now serves as our Director of Operations. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day management of our dental offices, ensuring every detail runs smoothly—from patient care to staff coordination. Larissa is passionate about creating a positive, welcoming environment for patients while fostering a culture of collaboration, balance, and strong team chemistry among staff. She believes that when the team thrives, patients receive the best possible care.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Larissa treasures spending time with her family and raising her daughters. Outside of work, she enjoys movies, music, great food, and exploring the outdoors.
Deyanira Maldonado – Lead Receptionist
With her bubbly personality and wealth of dental experience, Deyanira keeps our front desk running seamlessly! Bilingual in English and Spanish, she is dedicated to making sure every patient feels welcomed and completely at ease, turning even the most dreaded dental visits into great days. When she is not at the office, she enjoys taking scenic road trips and relaxing with her loved ones. She is also a proud dog mom, so be sure to ask about her baby, Kali, the next time you check in!
Chiara - Dental Assistant
Chiara looks forward to taking care of you during your next visit. Backed by her extensive dental experience in the Philippines and nearly two years as a dental assistant here in California, she brings an efficient approach to patient care and a gentle touch to the chair side. She truly loves helping people feel confident and proud of their smiles. She understands that dental visits can sometimes feel overwhelming, so she is always ready with a warm hello, a listening ear, and a friendly reminder that you're doing great.
